1. Several billion New Years resolutions were made in January 2018. Approximately 0% of them were fulfilled as of this writing. 90% of them will be carried on into 2019, only to remain unfulfilled until ~2025.

2. Chand continued her quest to photograph as much of the natural world as she can, venturing to 3 new countries this year alone. [See her recent photos from Namibia here]

3. Due to the increased adoption of smartphones with auto-correct, several million children will receive holiday messages from “Satan” instead of “Santa”.

4. Raghu began exercising. Daily. Yep. You read that correctly. Every day at six o clock. Sharp. Even when it rains. Weekends too.

5. Louis Fonsi’s “Despacito” earns the title of the most watched YouTube video of all time, clocking in at 5.9 billion views as of this writing. Approximately 5.8 billion of those viewers still haven’t realized that Puerto Rico is not a small town in Mexico and is in fact a part of these United States. [Donate to hurricane relief efforts here. Seriously. They still don’t have electricity down there.]

6. Varun sold his company and started working as software engineer at Uber. Lyft has since been banned in the household.

7. Vinay graduated from Babson College with a degree in finance and moved to New York to work for Piper Jaffray, fulfilling his lifelong dream of becoming an Investment Banker on Wall Street. I’d love to tell you more about it, but nobody has seen or heard from him since.
